Who are we

Fairfield Bulls Soccer Club Inc was formed in 1971 by group of Assyrian immigrants who were trying to establish some sporting and social activities in the Sydney suburb of Fairfield. From the early stages of its formation Fairfield Bulls has been linked with the Assyrian Australian Association (AAA) and later on with Nineveh Club. In November 1971 the Assyrian Australian Association after taking the team under its wings, applied for affiliation with Southern Districts Soccer Football Association (SDSFA). On Tuesday 25th of January 1972 two teams were officially accepted to compete in the SDSFA, ALL AGE division 2 and division 4. The two teams were simply known as THE ASSYRIANS and hence Fairfield Bulls Soccer Club was OFFICIALLY formed.

It was quite evident from the start that Fairfield Bulls was going to be a successful Soccer Club. In their first year of competition in 1972 both teams made the Semi-finals, with the division 2 team reaching and winning  the grand final by 3 – 1 defeating Macedonian Eagles and giving Fairfield Bulls their first official trophy in Australia.

In 2005 and through legislation by Football NSW and Southern Districts Football Association (Soccer governing bodies) we were required to established a standalone Club with our own constitution to manage our soccer business affairs, hence the establishment of Fairfield Bulls Soccer Club Incorporated in 2005. As a Soccer Club, affiliated with both football NSW and Southern District Association, Fairfield Bulls has been very successful club winning many championships with the greatest achievement being promoted to Football NSW’S PREMIER LEAGUE IN 2001.
